Sweetness of Reconciliation

Pastor Nate discusses the sweetness of reconciliation, both between individuals and between humanity and God. Drawing from Genesis chapter 46, he explores Jacob’s journey to Egypt and his long-awaited reunion with his son Joseph, whom he presumed dead. This reunion serves as a powerful illustration of the “sweetness” that comes from the restoration of broken relationships. Pastor Nate emphasizes God’s character as kind, faithful, providential, and ever-present, which empowers believers to trust Him even in times of fear and uncertainty. The sermon encourages listeners to not only put a “face” to reconciliation by identifying those they need to make peace with, but also to put “feet” to it through obedience and action. Ultimately, he highlights that living reconciled lives with others stems from first receiving peace and forgiveness from God through Jesus Christ, and extends an invitation for those who have not yet done so to surrender their lives to Jesus.
