Course: Spheres of Sovereignty – Who’s in Charge

Our one life is lived within a multitude of spheres – home, work, church, and government. And God has given each of these spheres a distinct authority over our life. This discipleship course will examine the jurisdiction God has given each of these spheres and address real-life dilemmas faced by Christians when these spheres do not operate according to God’s design.

Dilemmas such as:

– Is it a sin when I drive faster than the posted speed limit?

– Can my church tell me how to vote?

– Can the school send my child home because they are sick?

– Can I ignore an HR policy due to religious objections?

While the situations and severity differs, men and women have faced competing choices since the beginning – whether it’s the Jewish midwives (Exod. 18),  Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (Daniel 1, 3, 6), or the apostles (Acts 5).

This course aims to equip believers with the knowledge and critical thinking skills needed to navigate the various spheres of our life so that God receives glory and we grow into Christlikeness.
